Principles of Private Equity
The new Principles of ESG course will deliver theoretical knowledge and practical skills through case studies, for individuals at any stage of their career in the Australian Private Capital industry.

Overview

The Council is delighted to deliver the newly developed Principles of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) course in person in both Sydney and Melbourne during April 2024. The program will cover the fundamental concepts, principles, and practices related to responsible investing. It will deliver ESG theoretical knowledge as well as practical knowledge through case studies for individuals at any stage of their career in the Australian private capital industry.

Learning outcomes:

  • Understanding the importance and relevance of ESG factors in corporate decision-making and investing.
  • Understanding The difference between using ESG as a compliance/risk management tool versus value creation/opportunity tool.
  • Understanding ESG in both an Australian and International context.
  • Understanding the different touchpoints of ESG in an organisation – both at the corporate level in the investment process and the management of portfolio companies.
  • Understanding ‘real world’ ESG examples through cases studies
