Canva,
backed by Blackbird Ventures, has signed on to be a Career Partner with The Dream Collective,
an organisation responsible for creating ‘She Pivots’, a free online program launched to help women who have lost their jobs as
a result of the pandemic re-skill and find new job opportunities.
This initiative comes after the Australian Bureau of Statistics reported
that between 14 March and 18 April, employment decreased in Australia by
7.5%. Female employment dropped by 8.1% whereas male employment dropped by
6.2%.
Those who complete the program have the opportunity to apply for jobs at
Google, Amazon Web Services, Canva and Datacom.
As a Career Partner, Canva has committed to reviewing applications that
come through and providing career advice when requested. Canva has been
inundated with applications since announcing their involvement.
