From making meat to sanitiser

Vow, a company backed by Blackbird Ventures that makes meat from animal cells, began producing hand sanitiser for its employees and their local community using ingredients approved by the World Health Organisation they had on hand in their lab. This came after they experienced a significant shortage when the pandemic was at its peak.

Soon realising that this wasn’t only being experienced by Vow, and that many other businesses were struggling to source sanitiser to provide safe working environments for their teams, Vow began distributing bottles to friends, family, investors and other connections who lived locally. They express-shipped and did mail box drops to ensure they were delivered quickly.
