Chester Moynihan is a founding Partner of Allegro Funds. Mr. Moynihan has almost 30 years’ experience in private equity investing, turnaround and restructuring, corporate advisory and executive management.

Allegro is currently investing its fourth fund of $750m and has ~$4 billion in AUM and targets transformation style investment opportunities in Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to Allegro Mr. Moynihan worked at Permira Advisers in London, Gresham Private Equity in Sydney and KPMG in both New Zealand and South Africa.

Mr. Moynihan is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with post-graduate honours from the University of Natal, South Africa. Mr. Moynihan also holds an Investment Management Certificate from IMRO, London and has completed the IPAA course, Advanced Insolvency Law & Practice II, from the University of Southern Queensland.

Mr. Moynihan is currently on the boards of Gull New Zealand, Perth Radiological Clinics, Questas Group and the Australian Investment Council.
