The Australian private debt market reached a record $133 billion in 2021 and continues to grow as a key source of lending for the corporations and businesses within the domestic economy. While the broader economic environment was challenging in 2021, debt markets experienced a record year of lending in support of refinancing and mergers & acquisition activity.
